We emphasize the importance of service and seek to expand opportunities for all young, aspiring athletes. We collect used table tennis equipment donations for communities like Backhanders Table Tennis Club (Kwanyako, Ghana) to help expand the sport's accessibility and invest in youth development and potential.

In 2023, NCYTTA began hosting weekly Sunday Cash Tournaments at Triangle Badminton & Table Tennis center. Then, starting in 2024, NCYTTA transformed the event into a weekly charity tournament, where 20% of all proceeds were donated to the Alzheimer's Association to spread awareness and support ongoing research/prevention efforts.

We collaborate with other organizations to help grow the table tennis community and spread its health benefits, especially in the United States, where this Olympic sport is generally known as only a basement game of ping pong. Some of our past initiatives included:
-
Partnering with Wake Boys & Girls Club to lead 8 weeks of table tennis activities/training sessions for ~100 kids & donating table tennis equipment to establish a table tennis program
-
Leading table tennis workshop for Cary Academy high school students in the "Sports and the Cold War" history course; discussed the ping-pong diplomacy (1971) & differences between Chinese American table tennis developmental programs
-
Organizing a table tennis exhibition at the 2024 BlueCross Tech Summit
-
Hosting a table tennis booth at the 2024 Annual Asian Fest at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, NC
-
Volunteering as assistant coaches in children's group lessons at Triangle Badminton & Table Tennis club
